The Old Convent Borris-in-Ossory Co Laois

Nature has a great way of reclaiming buildings we no longer use. Though I believe the structure is preserved, the roof has fallen into a state of disrepair allowing pigeons to take up residence.
Its clear to see that this once fine building had fantastic gardens. The trees still blossom amid the tufts of overgrown grass overlooked by the statues still standing over the greenhouse.
The convent is for sale again along with its twenty six acres. While the land has its obvious uses, I would love to see the building renovated to function. To do what? – that I don’t know!
